Connect your Meta ad accounts to Nevian
Connect your Meta ad accounts with Meta's official login, so Nevian brings in ad spend at ad level and keeps campaign, ad set and ad names up to date.
What you need
- A Facebook profile that can see the ad accounts, directly or through a business portfolio.
- A Nevian workspace with an active plan, where you are the owner, an admin or a member. Beginner syncs up to 3 ad accounts, Pro up to 10 and Enterprise has no limit.
- For the token instead of the login: admin access to the business portfolio and a Facebook app that belongs to it. See Use a System User token instead.
Steps
-
In Nevian, open Ad platforms, click Add ad platform when you already have a connection, and pick Meta Ads. The Connect Meta Ads window opens immediately. Choose Facebook profile or Business Manager, then review and confirm the access on Meta’s page. If Facebook sign-in is unavailable, use the System User token path below.
-
Back in Nevian, the connection’s card uses your profile or business name. Open it, turn on the ad accounts Nevian should sync and click Done. New accounts start off, and each switch saves immediately.
Use a System User token instead
For agencies, or when you prefer a token that isn't tied to one person's profile. You need admin access to the business portfolio and a Facebook app that belongs to it; Meta notes that not every business has system users.
-
Go to Settings in Meta Business Suite. In the Users tab of the left sidebar, select System users and click Add new system user.
-
Name it, for example
Nevian, choose the Employee role (or Admin) and click Create system user.
-
Click Assign assets and give the system user your ad accounts. Add your pixel too if Nevian will send sales to Meta.
-
Click Generate new token, select your app and the permissions
ads_readandads_management, then click Generate token. Copy the token: Meta shows it only once.
-
In Nevian, open Ad platforms, use Add ad platform if needed, and pick Meta Ads, then Use a System User token instead. Paste it in System User access token and click Connect. Open the resulting connection card, turn on the ad accounts to sync and click Done.
Check that it works
- Ad platforms shows the connection and how many ad accounts are syncing.
- Logs › Ad spend sync lists each sync of spend from Meta, and Ads manager shows your campaigns, ad sets and ads with their spend.
- Tracking links with Auto from Meta as the cost now get their spend from these ad accounts.
Problems
"Your Beginner plan includes up to 3 ad accounts."
The plan's limit is reached, so the switch of the next ad account stays off. Turn off one you don't need, or upgrade the plan.
An ad account is missing from the list
The profile or system user can't see it. Give it access in Meta (for a system user, with Assign assets), then click Reconnect inside the connection card in Ad platforms or paste a new token.
"Reconnect Meta" appears on the page
Meta no longer accepts the saved access: the password changed, the access was removed or the token expired. Click Reconnect Meta and sign in again, or generate a new System User token.
"ad accounts use a different time zone than your workspace"
Meta reports daily spend in each ad account's time zone, so a day of spend can start a few hours before or after a day of sales. Align the time zones in Meta Ads Manager or in Settings for exact daily ROAS.
