Connect MaxWeb to Nevian

Time needed: about 5 minutesLast updated:

Send every MaxWeb purchase, refund and chargeback you earn a commission on to Nevian with postback pixels, so each sale shows up next to the ad that brought the buyer.

What you need

  • A MaxWeb affiliate account. MaxWeb only documents postbacks for affiliates, so this is the affiliate side.
  • The MaxWeb offer in Nevian's Offers, with your traffic link as the offer URL (see Check that it works for the click ID).
  • A Nevian workspace with an active plan (Beginner, Pro or Enterprise), where you are the owner, an admin or a member. Viewers can't connect integrations.
  • The two tabs side by side: Nevian on Integrations and your MaxWeb admin.

Steps

  1. In Nevian, open Integrations, click Add integration (Connect provider when nothing is connected yet) and pick MaxWeb. In the Connect MaxWeb window, have the platform open in another tab, then click Next to get your private URL.

The Connect MaxWeb window in Nevian, with the Next button highlighted.
  2. Nevian creates your private Postback URL, already filled with MaxWeb's macros ({ORDERID}, {COMMISSION_AMOUNT}, {PRODUCT_CODENAME} and {SUBID} to {SUBID5}). Click the copy button and leave this window open.

The Postback URL with MaxWeb macros in the Connect MaxWeb window, with its copy button highlighted.
  3. In your MaxWeb admin, open Settings › Postback Pixels (MaxWeb's FAQ calls it Account › Postback Pixels) and click Add New.

MaxWeb's Postback Pixels page under Settings, with the Add New button highlighted.
  4. Paste the URL in URL, keep All so the pixel fires for every offer, keep Status on Active and choose Purchase in Event. Click Test, then Save.

MaxWeb's New Postback pixel form with the Nevian URL, All offers, Status Active and Event Purchase, and the Test button highlighted.
  5. Add two more pixels the same way: one with event=refund at the start of the URL and Refund in Event, and one with event=chargeback and Chargeback. Click Save on each.

A second postback pixel in MaxWeb with event=refund in the URL, Event Refund and the Save button highlighted.
  6. Back in Nevian, click Next after copying the URL or code to open the test step. The line turns Connected as soon as the test arrives. Click Done.

The Connect MaxWeb window in Nevian showing Connected after the test, with the Done button highlighted.

Check that it works

  • The MaxWeb card in Integrations says Connected and shows the time of the last event.
  • Logs › Webhooks lists each call exactly as MaxWeb sent it, the test included.
  • For real sales, the click ID has to reach MaxWeb in a sub ID of your traffic link. In Offers, open the MaxWeb offer and click Add subid={clickid} (or use subid2 to subid5 if subid is taken). MaxWeb sends it back as {SUBID}.
  • MaxWeb doesn't say which sale is an upsell: in Integrations › Products, set each upsell product's role to Upsell (the postback sends the product code). Commissions are recorded in US dollars, the currency MaxWeb pays in.
  • The postback has no test flag: if a test purchase shows up in Logs › Conversions, open it and click Mark as test (owners and admins).

Problems

"Waiting for the first postback…" doesn't change

MaxWeb hasn't called the URL yet. Open the pixel in Postback Pixels, check that URL has the whole URL and that Status is Active, and click Test again. If your form has no Test button, the line turns Connected with your first sale.

"MaxWeb reached Nevian, but the call was rejected"

The reason under the line names what is missing, such as "Missing order={ORDERID} in the MaxWeb postback URL". It happens when the URL was cut or a macro was changed. Copy the URL again from the integration's Connection tab and paste it over the old one, changing only the word after event=. Notifications from a MaxWeb advertiser (vendor) account are refused: only the affiliate postback is public.

"no matching click" on a real sale

The buyer reached the offer without the click ID. Check that the offer URL in Offers has subid={clickid} and that your ads use the Nevian tracking link.

Purchases counted twice

Two pixels send the same event: a global one (All) and one for a single offer, or two Purchase pixels. Keep one pixel per event.

MaxWeb explains its postback pixels in its own FAQ.
