Connect Cakto to Nevian
Send every Cakto sale to Nevian with one webhook, so each purchase, order bump, upsell, refund and chargeback shows up next to the ad that brought the buyer.
What you need
- A Cakto producer account at
app.cakto.com.brthat can open Integrações (Integrations). - A Nevian workspace with an active plan (Beginner, Pro or Enterprise), where you are the owner, an admin or a member. Viewers can't connect integrations.
- The two tabs side by side: Nevian on Integrations and the Cakto panel.
Steps
-
In Nevian, open Integrations, click Add integration (Connect provider when nothing is connected yet) and pick Cakto. In the Connect Cakto window, have the platform open in another tab, then click Next to get your private URL.
-
Nevian creates your private Webhook URL. Click the copy button next to it and leave this window open: it shows the first event the moment it arrives.
-
In the Cakto panel, open Integrações (Integrations) › Webhooks and start a new webhook.
-
Name it
Nevian, paste the URL and choose your products. Cakto only sends the events of the products you choose, so pick all of them.
-
Tick the events
purchase_approved,purchase_refused,pix_gerado,boleto_gerado,refund,chargebackandsubscription_renewed, and save the webhook. Cakto creates its secret at once.
-
From the webhook's actions, send a test event. Copy the webhook's secret too: you paste it in Nevian in step 8.
-
Back in Nevian, click Next after copying the URL or code to open the test step. The line turns Connected a few seconds after the test arrives. Click Done.
-
Recommended: in Nevian, click the Cakto card in Integrations, open the Connection tab, paste the secret of the Cakto webhook in Webhook secret and click Save. From now on Nevian rejects any call without it.
Check that it works
- The Cakto card in Integrations says Connected and shows the time of the last event.
- Cakto's test is a fixed sample order, and Cakto has no test flag, so Nevian records it as a sale: open it in Logs › Conversions and mark it as a test, and it stays out of revenue and conversions.
- For real sales, keep the Nevian tracking script on the pages with your buy buttons. It adds the click ID to every link to
pay.cakto.com.br(assck) and passes the page UTMs along; Cakto sends them back with the order. - Each order says whether it is the main sale, an order bump, an upsell or a downsell; the upsell points to the order it came from. Webhooks of both Cakto versions work: version 2, made in the panel, sends the whole order in one call.
Problems
"Waiting for the first event…" doesn't change
Cakto hasn't sent anything to Nevian yet. In Cakto, open the webhook and check that the URL is complete, that your products are chosen (Cakto sends nothing for products left out) and that the events are ticked. Cakto retries only when it gets no answer at all: a call that got an error answer stays failed until it is resent from Cakto's event history. If you rotated the key in Nevian, the old URL stops working: copy the new one from the integration's Connection tab.
"Cakto reached Nevian, but the call was rejected"
The call arrived, but Nevian turned it down; the line and Logs › Webhooks show the reason. When the reason is the Webhook secret, the secret saved in Nevian isn't the one of this webhook: copy it again in Cakto, open the Connection tab of the Cakto card, click Replace, paste it and click Save. Then send the test again.
"no matching click" on a real sale
The test never has a click, so this is normal there. On a real sale it means the buyer reached the Cakto checkout without the click ID: check that the Nevian tracking script is on the page with the buy button and that the button links to pay.cakto.com.br (the script adds sck to it). Cakto explains its webhooks in its own webhook guide.
